regardless, I'm happy you're here. this website is my hub for my creations, as well as a portfolio. growing up, I really loved sites that had a bunch of stuff to do, and I wanted to make my site more than just a gallery. however, I'm not a coder- this site was created from scratch, by me, with some help from internet guides.
my name is Jhonen Mae Cossu! I was born in 2002, and I graduated from Mount Hood Community College in 2022 with an associate's in Graphic Design, and am currently on track to get my BFA in Graphic Design from Portland State University in 2024. after that, animation maybe?
I love illustration, graphic design, character design, and cartoons. if you couldn't tell, I love 2000's style design in all realms-- I have done work for a number of small businesses, and if you have a need for a retro brand, logo, character design, or piece of artwork, I am always looking to have a hand in any project that would have me. I am proud to have been a part of Retro Shark Gaming, Vibe85, ATHF: Rabbot Reanimated, Perceptions Magazine, and more that I will list when published.
however, I understand the importance of being a flexible designer. I do have experience outside of my niche, and I have done work for Maryhill Museum of Art, Mount Hood Advocate Newspaper, and various communities via Portland State Center for Public Service (my current position).
